As a result of its strengthened partnership with the Davao del Norte Provincial Information, Communication, and Knowledge Management Office (PICKMO), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI (DSWD FO XI), through its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), enhanced the competencies of its designated Information Officers, particularly the 4Ps personnel in Davao del Norte. This was achieved through a comprehensive media bootcamp conducted on February 20-21, 2025, at the Bulwagan sa Karunungan, Provincial Capitol, Mankilam, Tagum City.

The training featured specialized sessions conducted by industry experts of PICKMO, each sharing their expertise in key areas of media production. Provincial Information Officer (PIO) Mervin Jay Z. Suaybaguio, Ph.D., DDM, led an in-depth discussion on news writing, providing valuable insights into effective storytelling and journalistic standards. Admin Officer II Hanna Grace C. Zafra offered strategies for enhancing media posts to maximize audience engagement. Meanwhile, Admin Aide V Luis Miguel D. Morante demonstrated essential techniques in photography, videography, and editing, equipping participants with practical skills for high-quality content creation. Additionally, Engr. Jun Cyrex B. Macalinao shared his expertise in Facebook Live event production and digital tools, enabling attendees to leverage modern technology for real-time broadcasting and outreach.

After capacitating the participants, they are expected to produce compelling and impactful stories using the various media techniques taught by the resource persons.

This collaborative initiative is one of the many strategic efforts undertaken by 4Ps Onse, recognizing that beyond program operations, the power of storytelling plays a vital role in advocacy. By sharing compelling and impactful narratives, the program aims to highlight its true essence and reinforce its mission of improving the lives of poor household beneficiaries.
