On October 25, 2024, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XI conducted a distribution of 158 Family Food Packs (FFPs) to residents affected by Typhoon Kristine in Barangay Dalupan, Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental.

The distribution was led by Social Welfare Agency Development Officer (SWADO) Arris P. Medrado, along with Archie L. Forteza, Virgilio B. Angos, and Jeyson A. Alvarando from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, and Jo Ann Labio, the Risk Resiliency Program-Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM) focal person.

The Family Food Packs were provided to families who were severely impacted by the typhoon, aiming to alleviate their immediate food needs and support them in their recovery.

DSWD XI remains committed to providing assistance to communities affected by calamities. This food assistance program is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being and safety of vulnerable individuals and families.

The distribution of Family Food Packs is a crucial step in helping affected residents recover from the aftermath of Typhoon Kristine.
