The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), recently led the opening and blessing of four SLP Association projects in the Municipality of Pantukan, Davao de Oro, in June 2024.

Three associations, namely Binogsayan Tricycle Operators Driver SLP Association, Pantukan Bisaya-Mansaka Ombak Drivers SLP Association, and the Sitio Diat Palo Motorcycle Drivers SLP Association, received Php 300,000.00 each of seed capital for their motor parts and accessories projects. Meanwhile, the Binogsayan Farmers SLP Association received the same amount for their Agri-vet Supply Business.

A total of 86 program participants are expected to benefit from these projects.

SLP is a capability-building program that aims to improve the economic well-being of vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged individuals and families in communities by mobilizing and empowering them through the support of local government units and other government agencies.
