The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) conducted seed capital fund payout today, February 22, in Manay, Davao Oriental.

A total of 667 program participants received P15,000 each for their individual livelihood project.

DSWD XI Regional Director Atty. Vanessa B. Goc-ong, and SLP Central Office – Referral Section Head Noraida T. Busran led the conduct of the said activity, together with the representatives from ACT-CIS Partylist, the Provincial Government Unit of Davao Oriental and the Local Government Unit of Manay.

The SLP aims to improve the economic well-being of the vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged individuals and families in communities by mobilizing and empowering them with the support of the local government units and other government agencies.
