Davao Region, December 19, 2023 – – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI activated its Quick Response Team (QRT) today, December 19, 2023, and has prepositioned goods in the affected areas of Tropical Storm “Kabayan” to send relief goods upon request from local government units (LGUs). 

DSWD FO XI hauled and prepositioned 1,000 family food packs (FFPs) to the Municipality of Manay; 1,000 FFPs to the City of Mati; 6,210 FFPs to the Municipality of Caraga; 934 FFPs to the Municipality of Tarragona; and 2,000 FFPs to the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental. 

All the FFPs that were hauled and delivered today were prepositioned for faster and immediate response for requests of augmentation in assisting the victims of TS “Kabayan” that hit the eastern part of Davao Oriental especially the coast of Manay on December 18, 2023.

DSWD FO XI continues its monitoring of the affected areas for possible damages and requests for augmentation from the LGUs. ### (DSWD FO XI/EMCJr)
