The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI recently concluded a significant Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) payout from July 15-19, 2024, across various areas in the Davao Region, providing much-needed financial assistance to families affected by recent natural calamities adding to the total of PHP 2,107,715,280.00 disbursed amount to 258,788 beneficiaries as of July 19, 2024. 

From July 15-19, four puroks in Barangay Poblacion, Compostela received aid, with 3,037 beneficiaries each receiving PHP 4,980.00, covering 15 days of expenses. Meanwhile, in Cateel, Davao Oriental, 1,500 families from five barangays each received Php 9,960.00. Additionally, 2,179 beneficiaries from Barangay Kingking in Pantukan, Davao de Oro, were provided with Php 9,960.00 each.

As of July 19, 2024, DSWD XI has disbursed a total of PHP 2,107,715,280.00 to 258,788 beneficiaries across three provinces: 67,754 beneficiaries in Davao del Norte received PHP 674,829,840.00; 96,694 beneficiaries in Davao Oriental received PHP 963,072,240.00; and 94,340 beneficiaries in Davao de Oro received Php 469,813,200.00. DSWD XI’s efforts underscore their commitment to providing immediate relief to disaster-affected communities through fair and equitable distribution of aid. 

These payouts reflect the department’s dedication to supporting early recovery and enhancing the resilience of affected families in the region, particularly following the shear line and trough events earlier this year.
