The DSWD FO XI through Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) promotes 318 dedicated 4Ps staff from Contract of Service (COS) positions to Contractual positions last July 15, 2024, at Eastern Mindanao Command, Panacan, Davao City.

The oath-taking was attended by DSWD FO XI Regional Director, Atty. Vanessa B. Goc-ong, OIC Chief of Human Resource Management and Development Division (HRMDD), Laurencia P. Mondreza, and 4Ps RPMO Division Chief, Margie G. Cabido.

The promotion recognizes the hard work, dedication, and excellence demonstrated by the 4Ps staff. Their efforts have been pivotal in the successful implementation and operation of the program, directly impacting the lives of millions of Filipinos.

Part of the ceremony was discussing the Code of Conduct of a Public Servant spearheaded by Atty. Angelli A. Guingue-Decolongon, and Legal Assistant Edmark Vincent R. Racho. This is to remind the responsibility, and commitment to public service and reaffirm their dedication to serving the community with integrity and excellence. Meanwhile, Human Resource Guidance was discussed by HRMDD Administrative Officer, Janica R. Maceda.

Regional Director, Atty. Vanessa B. Goc-ong acknowledged the people behind the initiative of the contractualization including Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Director Gemma B. Gabuya, National Program Manager of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, and the Regional Program Management Office of 4Ps headed by Division Chief Margie G. Cabido. Lastly, she also acknowledged the support Philippine Navy through the leadership of Commodore Tumanda for the use of their facility during the ceremony, for the partnership and future engagements.

“Today’s oath-taking is not merely a ceremony, to practice your profession, it is also a solemn act and an internal promise to abide by our agency’s vision, mision, and goal. Aside from that it is also a commitment to our moral duty to the world to make it a better place to live in. May you keep the fire ablaze, and may we all have the courage and the resilience and the bountiful gratitude to uplift the condition of our 4Ps beneficiaries.” Regional Director, Atty. Vanessa B. The transition from Contract of Service (COS) to Contractual positions provides enhanced job security and stability for the 318 staff members. This change will enable them to perform their duties with greater focus and dedication, assured by the more robust terms of their employment.
