The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI through the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services  (KALAHI-CIDSS) hosted the Regional Technical Working Group Meeting attended by representatives from the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), alongside the KALAHI-CIDSS Regional Program Management Team (RPMT) on July 9, 2024 at the Operations Center of DSWD Field Office XI.

The NCIP representatives, comprising regional and provincial FPIC (Free and Prior Informed Consent) focal persons, gathered to address ongoing challenges in NCIP validation, the reconciliation of data, and the enhancement of regional collaboration between the offices.

EMB representatives provided vital insights on the implementation of the KALAHI CIDSS program, particularly in Protected Areas (PA) or regions issued with a Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT). Discussions also focused on addressing issues and concerns related to the Environmental Compliance Certificate application.

The meeting underscored the commitment of both agencies to foster stronger collaboration and effectively address regional concerns, ensuring the seamless execution of programs within the community.
