In a significant step towards community empowerment, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP),has recently provided a seed capital fund of P240,000.00 to the BAFWELA SLP Association from the Municipality of Braulio E. Dujali, Davao del Norte, on April 29, 2024.

Comprising 16 dedicated members, the association plans to utilize the capital to launch their Bayong Making Project. This initiative aims not only to preserve traditional craftsmanship but also to create sustainable livelihood opportunities within the community.

This is in partnership with the Local Government of Braulio E. Dujali, which aims to underscore a collaborative effort to drive positive change and economic growth in the region.

With this support, the association is poised to make a tangible impact on the lives of community members, empowering them with valuable skills and fostering economic resilience.
