GROUNDBREAKING. Some 152 households in Barangay Libuton, San Isidro, Davao del Norte will soon have their Two Units Multipurpose Pavement Post Harvest Facility through the LGU-led implementation of Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS).

Present during the groundbreaking ceremony were local officials, DSWD staffs, and community volunteers.

For the construction, DSWD granted Php 612,200.00 while the municipality provided a Local Counterpart Contribution (LCC) of Php 40,100.00.

At present, the Municipality of San Isidro has a grant allocation of Php 12,744,000.00 under the Kalahi-CIDSS LGU-led implementation modality. It is set to complete 13 sub-projects in 13 prioritized barangays.

Kalahi-CIDSS is one of the programs of DSWD that uses the Community Driven Development (CDD) approach to empower local communities to undertake their own development projects by actively and directly involving in local governance such as identifying their community needs as well as taking part in implementing projects that will address these needs.
