DAVAO CITY (DSWD XI) -The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 11 has released 14,150 family food packs to eight (8) municipalities in Compostela Valley, nine (9) municipalities in Davao del Norte, and six (6) barangays in Davao City which were affected by some flooding and landslide incidents brought about by the tail end of a cold front which began last week of January.

More than 67,153 families or 277,579 individuals received the assistance.

Meanwhile, 9,135 family food packs were also released to Manay, Davao Oriental and 15,150 more are expected to be distributed within the week in the municipalities of Caraga and Tarragona, also in Davao Oriental due to the effects of the recent low pressure area (LPA).

The Department, as the forefront of the government in disaster response and recovery, continuously commits to provide immediate relief and early recovery to disaster affected families and individuals in the country. (DSWD)
