Davao City -DSWD Secretary Corazon J. Soliman will visit Talaingod, Davao del Norte on Friday for the Association of Regional Executives of National Agencies in Region XI (ARENA XI) Serbisyo Caravan.
“Sec. Soliman will lead the ceremonial turnover of around Php 14 million worth of services and projects slated to be provided by DSWD to some 13,357 beneficiaries in Talaingod,” said DSWD Regional Director Priscilla N. Razon.
“We aim to disburse social pension to 739 indigent older persons, as well as render offsite over-the-counter payment to Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries and distribute Debit Cards to IP beneficiaries of the Modified Conditional Cash Transfer program under Pantawid Pamilya,” Director Razon said.
PhilHealth will also be distributing Members’ Data Records and IDs to selected beneficiaries, she added.
Among the projects are livelihood training and assistance on cultural bead accessory production, indigenous basket production, native goat dispersal, organic ginger production, cultural management on sustainable vegetable production, and organic-based vegetable production for lowland and upland.
DSWD will also conduct Supplementary Feeding in 32 Day Care Centers and turnover completed Kalahi-CIDSS PAMANA Projects (Improvement of Potable Water System, Corn Sheller with Shed, Installation of 209 Units Low Cost Solar Led, Installation of 2 Units Street Lights, Construction of Solar Dryer with Provision of Corn Sheller with Shed, Construction of Multi-Purpose Pavement, and Construction of Drainage Line Canal.
Furthermore, the Department will be distributing 13 units assistive devices (wheel chairs, crutches and walkers), 1,500 sets of educational supplies and 3,000 family food packs.
Finally, a groundbreaking ceremony is set for the upcoming Construction of Multi-Purpose Pavement with Storage Facility.
The ARENA XI Serbisyo Caravan brings series of community outreach programs and direct services closer to the people. The caravan provides a one-stop shop of services of national government agencies especially targeting the poor.
Expected to deliver their respective services in Talaingod on Friday are more than 50 national agencies in Davao Region. (DSWD)
