The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI (DSWD FO XI), through its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), officially secured partnerships with three (3) Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) during the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Undertaking (MOU) held on June 30, 2025, in Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental.
These collaborations with the Nagkadoma Women’s Association, the Unicarbai Multi-Purpose Cooperative (UMPC), and the Inter-Faith Ministerial Fellowship (INFAMIF) aim to further strengthen the implementation of the 4Ps in the Davao Region and enhance the empowerment of its beneficiaries.
The signing ceremony was graced by 4Ps Division Chief Margie C. Sobretodo and Sta. Maria Mayor Hon. Claude Benjamin II D. Bautista. Also in attendance were representatives from the partner CSOs: the Nagkadoma Women’s Association represented by Federation Chairperson Ellen Liasan, the Unicarbai Multi-Purpose Cooperative represented by Chairperson Ceriaco R. Ybanez Jr., and the Inter-Faith Ministerial Fellowship represented by Chairperson Reverend Judie E. Nawal.
Under the signed agreements, DSWD XI will take the lead in the overall implementation of the 4Ps, while the partner organizations will contribute their expertise, services, and resources to support program delivery. Specifically, they will help create opportunities and provide motivation to beneficiaries to prevent them from falling back into previous levels of social and economic vulnerability. These efforts will include employment facilitation and capacity-building initiatives.
Moreover, Reverend Judie E. Nawal of INFAMIF underscored the importance of moral and spiritual development in achieving lasting progress. “We will promote and enhance peace and order by teaching the word of God in every barangay. We aim to be involved in educating and enhancing each and every family. We can be an instrument in molding, and promote moral and spiritual values in every family through this partnership with 4Ps”
This collaborative effort signifies a significant step towards a more robust and inclusive implementation of 4Ps, fostering sustainable development and empowering communities.
