To boost collaboration and improve services for poor families, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), held its 2nd Quarter Regional Advisory Council (RAC) Meeting on June 24, 2025, at Ritz Hotel Garden Oases in Davao City.

Chaired by the Department of Health (DOH), the meeting brought together key national and regional agencies to align efforts and discuss ways to better support 4Ps beneficiaries. Dr. Raquel D. Montejo of the DOH led the discussions on behalf of RAC Vice-Chairperson and DOH OIC-Regional Director Dr. Ellenietta HMV N. Gamolo.

The council tackled the latest updates on 4Ps implementation, including the 2025 priorities, results of the Social Welfare and Development Indicators (SWDI), and the transition plans for families who are about to “graduate” from the program. These topics are key to ensuring that beneficiaries continue to receive appropriate support as they move toward self-sufficiency.

Government agencies also shared ongoing and upcoming programs that 4Ps families can benefit from, such as the job and livelihood opportunities through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), including job fairs, the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), and TUPAD.

To improve transparency and teamwork across agencies, Ms. Anna Felissa J. Lim, the Regional Partnership Officer, proposed a RAC Field Visit that will allow council members to see firsthand how 4Ps families are doing in the communities and engage directly with local stakeholders.

Agencies in attendance included NCIP, BFAR, DAR, DOST, PhilHealth, URSW, Ateneo de Davao University, DPWH, CPD, CHED, DOH, Talikala Inc., DILG, DepEd, DENR, and DOLE—demonstrating the wide network working together for the welfare of the most vulnerable.

The RAC remains a vital platform for shared decision-making and program coordination, helping ensure that the 4Ps continues to uplift lives and build a better future for families in the Davao Region.
