The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), has officially partnered with Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC) to strengthen livelihood support for students and families in the Municipality of Compostela.

On July 3, 2025, the two parties signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that aims to help vulnerable individuals and households become more financially stable. The agreement includes support like seed capital, skills training, job opportunities, and livelihood-building activities.

Present during the signing were DSWD XI OIC Assistant Regional Director Gemma D. Dela Cruz, RSW, and Promotive Division Chief Sheryl Ann Ramirez, RSW, who both expressed their support for the initiative.

DDOSC Director for Extension Services, Dr. Rona C. Apolonario, shared her excitement about the partnership. “This is a big step for our students. By connecting classroom learning to real-life livelihood projects, we’re helping break the cycle of poverty and creating a lasting impact on families and communities,” she said.

Through this partnership, DSWD XI continues its commitment to promote sustainable development and improve the lives of people in Davao de Oro.
