To further enhance the delivery of livelihood services, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) successfully conducted a Knowledge-Sharing Session: Refresher on SWOT Analysis for field implementers in Davao del Norte.

Led by the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) and facilitated in coordination with Provincial Coordinator Ms. Novalinn Perl G. Paraguya, the session served as a learning platform for Project Development Officers (PDOs) to revisit and strengthen their understanding of SWOT analysis, a key tool for strategic planning and evidence-based decision-making.

The refresher session aimed to promote consistent application of the SWOT framework in the identification, assessment, and development of sustainable livelihood projects. By sharpening the implementers’ capacity to analyze Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, the program aspires to further improve the quality, relevance, and impact of interventions provided to communities.

Highlighting the session were the valuable field insights and active participation of the PDOs, whose contributions reflected a strong grasp of ground realities and an unwavering commitment to enhancing SLP implementation strategies.

This pilot session is part of DSWD-SLP XI’s continuing efforts to build the capacities of its workforce and ensure that all livelihood initiatives are strategic, inclusive, and sustainable, empowering individuals and communities to break the cycle of poverty.
