To ensure the continued success and alignment of Project LAWA at BINHI with its goals, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI (DSWD XI), together with local partners, conducted an on-site monitoring activity on April 15, 2025, across the barangays of Datu Danwata, Kilalag, and Pangaleon in Malita, Davao Occidental.

This monitoring visit was part of the ongoing efforts under the Risk Resiliency Program–Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM) through Project LAWA at BINHI, aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of community-based programs focused on environmental sustainability, disaster preparedness, and livelihood support.

Among those who took part in the activity were Jo Ann V. Labio (Project Development Officer II) from DSWD XI, Alexis Madel from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), John Patrick Ruelo from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and Wendell S. Masupat from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

The monitoring team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the program’s implementation, ensuring active community engagement while also identifying potential gaps and areas for improvement. The findings and insights gathered will guide the enhancement of service delivery and ensure that interventions remain responsive to the needs of the communities, ultimately strengthening their climate resilience and overall well-being.
