As part of its continuing efforts to strengthen community resilience and promote sustainable livelihoods, the Project LAWA at BINHI, under the Risk Resiliency Program – Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM), successfully conducted a Cash-for-Training (CFT) activity for 100 beneficiaries on April 15, 2025, at the SCSC Poblacion of Sulop, Davao del Sur.

The training aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the project’s goals, community impact, and their roles in sustaining it, while equipping them with essential skills to support their groups and manage project sites effectively.

Key agency representatives joined the activity, including DSWD’s Karen C. Gayonan and Dale Renan I. Libay, MSWDO’s Arnold B. Rellen, and BFAR’s Rodney Cambarijan and Ricardo Vidal. MAO’s Joan, Catherine Labiaga, and Meriam Denaga provided technical support, while MDRRMO was represented by Glenn M. Gamayot.

The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) was represented by Emerlita O. Dayon, and private sector partner TATEH Aquafeeds sent Yvonne Paronelmo, Elvie May Anticamara, and Vincent B. Agcopra to provide insights on sustainable aquaculture practices.

Through this initiative, Project LAWA at BINHI continues to foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and active participation among beneficiaries, contributing to resilient and sustainable community development in Davao del Sur.
