The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), led the opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of Bunawan Enterprise SLP Association on February 23, 2024, in Purok 7, Inabanga, Bunawan Proper, Bunawan District, Davao City. 

The 30-member association, comprising eight (8) members of the Pantawid Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and 22 non-4Ps households, received a livelihood grant worth P450,000 for their Agri-Supply Project.

DSWD XI SLP Special Concerns Officer Mr. Wilfredo R. Planas, and Davao City Coordinator, Ms. Rosa Ana C. Gado spearheaded the activity. They were joined by representatives from the Local Government Unit of Davao, Barangay Bunawan, and two non-governmental organizations, BMEG and Nabunturan Integrated Cooperative.

The SLP aims to improve the economic well-being of the vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged individuals and families in communities by mobilizing and empowering them with the support of the local government units and other government agencies.
