San Fernando, Pampanga, October 23, 2023 – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, with its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), took part in a Stakeholders’ Relation Management Training (SRM) for Risk Resiliency Program (RRP) implementers from October 16 to 20, 2023, in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The main goal of the training is to help the implementers gain support from key stakeholders for the successful implementation of RRPs at the grassroots level. To achieve this, the DSWD Disaster Response Management Bureau conducted a workshop to empower implementers with effective stakeholder relation management through strategic communication.

During the training, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM) implementers, led by DRMD Chief Dahlia S. Padillo, actively participated in workshops that focused on stakeholder influence mapping and crafting communication plans.

The RRP-CCAM is an initiative of DSWD to prepare the people for the threats brought by climate change in their respective communities through training and cash-for-work (CFW) modality. The training includes mitigation strategies against climate change and activities for their CFWs such as tree-planting and tree-growing, clean-up drives and recently, Project LAWA or Local Adaptation to Water Access.
