Earlier Today | The Department of Social Welfare and Development, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program distributed livelihood settlement grants (LSG) to 18 Friends Rescued (new term for former rebels) in Halfway House-Kalinaw, Bunawan, Davao City.

Each of them received P20,000.00 worth of assistance for their individual livelihood projects, funded through Executive Order No. 70. which aims to build economic opportunities for former rebels through livelihood assistance and other social services.

DSWD is one of the government agencies that compose the National Task Forces on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), which aims to provide social protection services to rebel returnees as envisioned under Executive Order Number 70.
