The Malalan Fisherfolks Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Association emerged as the winner in the recent Gawad JASenyo 2023 during the 68th Anniversary Celebration of the municipality of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental on April 19, 2023.
The association, composed of 30 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, received P300,000-worth of seed capital to fund their general merchandise project which started in 2017.
It was cited as an Outstanding Association for its exemplary and selfless accomplishments which have brought social, economic, and governance honor and prestige to the municipality.
The annual Gawad JASenyo aims to recognize not only outstanding individuals but even the most successful government-initiated and funded associations in the municipality. ####
