The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, recently conducted a special household assessment to 3,707 indigenous people (IP) household beneficiaries under the Modified Conditional Cash Transfer (MCCT) of the 4Ps in Davao Region.

Said assessment covered 29 cities and municipalities in Davao Region and 11 barangays in Davao City.

Of the assessed households, 3,416 or 92.15% of the total targeted MCCT-IP household beneficiaries were successfully included for encoding and verification with the Listahanan, an information management system of the Department that identifies who and where the poor are nationwide. The remaining 7.85% of these households were identified under the cross-province and cross-region or transferred residents that will be further facilitated.

The assessment was in compliance with the directive to assess MCCT-IP beneficiaries to the 4Ps as legally mandated by Republic Act No. 11310 or the 4Ps Act. ###
