The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) and Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), conducted a capacity-building activity to the beneficiaries of the Livelihood Settlement Grant of the Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa (MP2) program in New Corella, Davao del Norte.

Said activity aims to assist the beneficiaries in properly planning their proposed businesses and to also equip them with knowledge prior to starting their livelihood.

The training was led by BP2 focal person, Lee Mecris Berdos, some DSWD KALAHI-CISS employees, municipal staff, and participated by BP2 beneficiaries in said municipality.

The BP2 program is an inter-agency program that aims to provide comprehensive services to families returning to their provinces as well as funding assistance to local government units in order to improve access to basic services.

The program is chaired by the National Housing Authority (NHA) while DSWD is one of its implementing government agencies. ###
