DAVAO CITY, October 25 (PIA) A total of 184 residents of Barangay Talomo Proper benefitted from the medical mission conducted in line with the launching of the Kilos Sambayanan.

The program is an anti-poverty strategy spearheaded by the National Anti-Poverty Commission with the support of line government agencies like the Department of Social Welfare and Development XI, Department of Interior and Local Government XI, and the city government of Davao.

The activity was launched with the discussion on the Kilos Sambayanan, a poverty reduction agenda under the Duterte Administration and the unveiling of the Kilos Sambayanan Mural.

A resident of the barangay expressed appreciation to the program which focuses more on addressing the basic concerns of the poorest of the poor sector.

Romulo Cabreros said the Kilos Sambayanan is a step towards effectively addressing the  ills of poverty affecting the most number of the residents.

“My appreciation goes to the President who has the heart for the poor,” he said.

Cabreros believes this program will work only with the corresponding support from top to bottom since it entails resources at first. (PIA XI)
