Tagum City  -Residents at Home for the Aged happily marked the Elderly Filipino Week with a tour in Tagum City’s parks and historical sites. They also showcased their flairs at the culminating program through “Elderly Got Talent” which entertained fellow seniors of Tagum City led by OSCA President Manuel S. Tamayo and Visayan Village Barangay Senior Citizen’s Association Chair Daniel Quizona.

Tasked to judge the oldies’ talents were Home manager Annie L. Rosalinda, DSWD older persons focal Angelique B. Paña, Pacita S. Ehong, representative from the Association of Friends of the Home for the Aged, Inc, (AFHAI), and a representative from City Social Welfare and Development Office of Tagum City.

The DSWD Home for the Aged works with older persons 60 years old and up. The Home staffs provide appropriate programs and services to enable residents attain their fullest potentials as human beings no matter their age, social and physical disability. On top of making their twilight years more comfortable, meaningful and productive, the Home always finds ways to bring its residents back to the bosom of their families or relatives.

To date, the Home serves over 50 older persons who need and always long for the love and understanding of their families. (DSWD)
