SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING.  DSWD Regional Director Priscilla N. Razon hands over on Monday to Davao City Mayor’s Chief of Staff Atty. Nathaniel Dalumpines the Php 32 million cheque as allocation for the Supplementary Feeding Program of the city’s 26,392 day care children enrolled in 645 day care centers. On top of the fund allocation, DSWD also provided a Php 9.5 million NFA iron-fortified rice to the city government for the feeding.

As augmentation support in the feeding program of local government units, the DSWD supplementary feeding will be implemented in 120 days.

The hot meals to be managed and served by the parents must advocate consumption of vegetables.

Meanwhile, DSWD also implements the Supplementary Feeding Program for Sajahatra Bangsamoro with 550 children beneficiaries enrolled in Madrasahs, and the School Based Feeding Program in collaboration with the Department of Education covering some 18,349 children.

In her message, Director Razon said, “Our joint efforts will matter most in improving and maintaining good nurtritional status of our children so they could be brighter, faster and smarter.” DSWD
