SENIORS’ WEEK. 85-year old Vivencia C. Isidro of Talomo Center Beach, Davao City receives her Philhealth ID and Member’s Data Record as PhilHealth lifetime member during the culmination program for the Elderly Filipino Week on Monday at NCCC Mall Kadayawan Hall. The awarding was led by [from left] DSWD Chief for Protective Services Raquel E. Nuňez, DSWD Director Priscilla N. Razon, PhilHealth Health Care Chief Dr. Hector P. Malate, and PhilHealth Field of Operations Chief Filbert Bryan Sollesta.

Also turned over on Monday were wheelchairs, social pension and PhilHealth Cards. Birthday celebrants were ecstatic when each one was called and gifted with a birthday cake.

In her message, Director Razon emphasized that “the older persons are our treasure, our wealth of knowledge, wealth of experience, strength and inspiration. They are a force and our partner in development. We need to take care, nurture and offer them the love they deserve. That is why DSWD has a program for senior citizens. We want you to go home happy. Let us be proud that we are senior citizens.”

Other sponsors in the event were Arlyn L. Basquez Academy of Beauty, Smile Therapy for the massage, Department of Health for medical services and vaccine, Dr. Norma Magpantay for the eye examination, Councilor Edgar Ibuyan, PhilHealth doctors, and various medical representatives.
