Sustainable Livelihood Program

The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) is a capability-building program for poor, vulnerable, and marginalized households and communities to help improve their socio-economic conditions through accessing and acquiring necessary assets to engage in and maintain thriving livelihoods. Upholding the value of inclusivity, the Program is open to poor, marginalized, vulnerable, and/or disadvantaged households, building upon their strengths and understanding how they can use these to achieve positive livelihood outcomes.

The program operates across all regions and provinces, considering every municipality, city, and barangay as potential sites for implementing various interventions. Additionally, the program aims to enhance participant involvement and foster a stronger sense of ownership over their development. Recognizing the importance of improving the implementation process, the program seeks to establish a more efficient timeline and strengthen the social preparation for participants, all while ensuring the responsible and judicious use of resources.

In order to ensure that SLP remains relevant to the needs of the communities, the program implementation process shall be streamlined and simplified. These guidelines aim to provide the DSWD Field Offices (DSWD FOs), which are the direct service providers, with the specific implementation process for Pantawid households, non-Pantawid households, individual referrals, and walk-in clients.
