The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos XI (NCMF XI) held a coordination meeting on August 8, 2025, at the NCMF XI Office to further strengthen collaboration in addressing the needs of Muslim communities in the Davao Region.

DSWD XI, led by Regional Director, Rhuelo D. Aradanas, represented by the 4Ps Regional Focals, met with NCMF XI Regional Director Arch. Sherrila Forza-Sawah, UAP, CESE, to discuss the ongoing implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Muslim areas. The dialogue also tackled initiatives aimed at addressing early marriage and promoting awareness on Republic Act No. 11596, which prohibits the practice of child marriage in the country.

Both agencies explored possible areas for partnership, particularly in the conduct of joint information and advocacy campaigns, as well as in strengthening support services for 4Ps beneficiaries in Muslim communities.

The strengthened collaboration between DSWD XI and NCMF XI is expected to pave the way for more targeted and culturally sensitive interventions, promoting the welfare and rights of Muslim families across the region.
