The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI (DSWD FO XI), through its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), held its Regional Action Center II (RAC) meeting with the Landbank of the Philippines’ South Mindanao Branch Group (SMBG) on July 14, 2025.

The said activity focused on streamlining processes and improving service delivery of LandBank to the beneficiaries of 4Ps, this included optimization of Cash Card Management, addressing the actual physical inventory, re-issuance, and reporting of perforated, unclaimed, and undelivered EMV Cash Cards to ensure beneficiaries receive their grants efficiently.

Landbank also agreed to simplify account changes to streamline processes for “Change Grantee” scenarios, including a commitment from Landbank to verify authorization letters for Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) grantees via direct contact and will work on discontinuing complex UCT (Unconditional Cash Transfer) accounts, transitioning beneficiaries to CCT (Conditional Cash Transfer) accounts for simpler transactions.

Discussions included updates on the incorporation of COCOGENS Insurance services to further assist the needs of beneficiaries and broaden their access to services.

The meeting was attended by Pantawid Division Chief Margie Cabido-Sobretodo and key stakeholders, including Laneli F. Elum, Head of the South Mindanao Branch Group (SMBG) of the Landbank of the Philippines and RAC Co-Chair, and Eunice C. Sumatra, San Pedro Branch Head of Landbank of the Philippines and COCOGEN representative.

These close partnerships with financial institutions and partners like Cocogen will amplify the successful implementation of the 4Ps program. By continuously improving processes and expanding digital financial literacy initiatives, the DSWD and its partners empower beneficiaries to manage their cash grants effectively and access broader financial services, ensuring the program effectively serves its purpose.
