The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI, through its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), conducted a three-day orientation and workshop on the program’s Project Monitoring Guidelines for Monitoring Field Project Development Officers (MPDOs) in the Davao Region. The event took place from July 10-12, 2024, at Panorama Hotel, Davao City.

The orientation and workshop were led by SLP Regional Program Coordinator Dexter M. Lara, along with the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) team. The newly appointed Promotive Service Division Chief, Sheryl Ann R. Dumalogdog, also attended the event and expressed strong support for the program.

The objectives of this activity were to strengthen and streamline the monitoring and assessment activities of SLP projects and associations, particularly focusing on the financial reporting aspect.

Additionally, the workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge of MPDOs in business management, financial recording, and reporting. Furthermore, it sought to equip them with the skills necessary for processing and managing large volumes of data.

Through this, the program aims to further reinforce its monitoring processes, ensuring the sustainability of the projects implemented and improving the technical assistance given to program participants and associations in the field.
